Board Certified Optometric Physician
Trading the cold winters in Michigan for the warm Florida sunshine, Dr. Scott Prickett and his family moved to the Fort Myers/Naples area over thirty years ago. Now considered a native and more importantly a die hard University
of Florida Gator, he is right at home in southwest Florida. Leisure time is spent outdoors, fishing, boating and spending time at the beach with friends and family and of course the occasional trips back to “The Swamp” to root for his
alma mater.
Dr. Prickett’s goal is to provide each patient with the highest quality care from diagnosing and treating eye-diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts to prescribing the perfect pair of eye glasses or contact
lenses. He obtained his Bachelors Degree in Neurobiological Sciences, a three year research program and Senior Thesis at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Moving west Dr. Prickett achieved his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University
of Houston College of Optometry in Texas. His externships were completed at Fort Carson Hospital in Colorado and The Eye Foundation in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Prickett is a member of various academic and optometric organizations including, Beta-Sigma
Kappa-National Optometry Honor Society, the American Optometric Association, and the Southwest Florida Optometric Association. Other memberships include recognition in the National Honor Societies - Alpha Epsilon Delta and Phi
Eta Sigma.
Dr. Prickett is based in the Naples office of SNEADCataract and continues to be instrumental in the continued growth and success of this location since it’s inception in 2001. |
