Get your Game On!
The 19th annual 2008 Lee County Senior Games will be held beginning January 26th and continuing through February 10th 2008. Snead Cataract is proud to be the presenting sponsor again for the 2008 Games.
Each year hundreds of area athletes gather in southwest Florida to participate in such events as Bocce Ball, Track & Field, Kayaking and numerous other sporting activities to vie for a first, second or third place medal in their
particular area of sporting interest. The games conducted by the Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department are in their 19th year in southwest Florida and continue to grow in participation and new events each year. Athletes 50 years and older are encouraged
to come out and compete in any event on the schedule. Many of these dedicated seniors receive medals in a variety of sports and continue to compete not only locally, but strive to make it to both the Florida
and National Games as well.
In addition to exercising, eating sensibly and taking care of your overall health, Dr. Snead suggests that you also pay attention to your eye health. Ways to protect your vision as you age include having a regular eye examination, avoiding
harmful UV rays while outdoors and refraining from smoking.
