Join us every February as southwest Floridians and visitors watch and participate in the largest nighttime parade in the southeastern United States. The Edison Festival of Light parade began in 1938 as a celebration to commemorate Thomas Edison’s life of achievements. Mr.
Edison made Fort Myers his winter residence as well as his neighbor Mr. Henry Ford. Over 250,000 spectators view the parade annually as the streets of historic Fort Myers come to life with spectacular floats illuminating the night. This is one event the whole family looks forward to every
year.
